Metro White

Manufactured exclusively for ShortyBeds, Metro beds are produced in small batches by traditionally trained craftsmen at a delightful family run woodworking mill in Lancashire. Each bed is hand crafted, easy to assemble and finished to extremely high standards. The head and foot ends of the Metro are cut from a single sheet of 25mm MDF before being routed, sanded and painted. Using MDF means you get a super smooth surface and gives a fabulous hard wearing finish when painted. Side rails are made from slow growing Nordic pine, a premium timber most suited to furniture making due to it's strength properties. Pieces with a low knot count are specially selected to ensure the best possible finish when painted. All the Nordic pine used in our beds is imported from Scandinavia where they have strict conservation directives. For every tree felled and two more are planted.
